What would you say you are known for?
Cocoa Bean is known for simple, clean, understated, warm, welcoming and liveable interiors.
Where do you find your inspiration?
We are very often inspired by the architectural elements of each particular project which normally influences our thought process throughout the project. We also always love referencing nature and organic shapes.
Which of your projects are you most proud of, and why?
I would say always our very latest project because no matter how long we’ve been in the industry we never stop learning and growing. My team always makes me so proud to see how we’ve overcome new challenges big and small.
What is your number one design tip?
Always buy the best quality you can afford. This will go a long way when investing in your home. When designing go with your instinct – the very first feeling you get when you walk into a space or see something is normally right.
Where have you used Core Furniture products before?
I’ve used Core Furniture products on several exterior patios. Hoping to specify some more stunning indoor couches… love the sofa Residenza by Eichholtz.
How did you become an interior designer?
Since a little girl I’ve always been obsessed with all things design. I started my studies in Fine Art and Fashion and when moving to Johannesburg started my interior design journey and 24 years later here I am.
