Born in London, Anki Gneib studied Interior Architecture and Furniture Design at the College of Art, Crafts and Design in Stockholm. Since 1993, she has worked as an independent architect and designer in her own studio in Stockholm, where she designs interior design solutions for private and public spaces as well as contemporary furniture pieces.
Gneib’s work is characterized as experimental and playful, inspired by her passion for cultural investigation and rediscovering materials, styles and craftsmanship from around the world. Her design styles move among traditional Scandinavian design to Afro inspirations, where she goes from classical materials such as wood to modern ones like Plexiglas. She is currently represented at The Röhsska Museum of Fashion, Design and Decorative Arts in Gothenburg and has received a number of awards. She is the designer of the beautiful Cricket collection by Varaschin.
