Harry and Camilla are industrial designers based in Italy who are known for their mysterious pieces that draw from the idea of aeronautical performances. Harry studied Industrial Design at the Design Academy in Eindhoven, while Camilla grew up in Mexico and studied Fashion Design at the Instituto Marangoni in Milan. They met in Milan while both studying their Master’s degrees at the Domus Academy in 1994.
Their designer furniture is crafted as a happy medium between Dutch free spirit and Latin warmth. The Bye-Bye collection for Vondom illustrates a contrast between unity and conflict as the piece’s overall stretched cartoon-like appearance symbolizes a journey through space at light-speed. Their overall design style is a constantly-evolving experimentation of functionality with a contemporary and futuristic edge.
